Invented in the early 1980s by Tim Berners-lee, the web is reduced to an instrument allowing the consultation of the pages of websites from a browser. This web will be significantly improved in the 1990s with the different versions. HTML should see the light of day gradually until the latest version of HTML5 was created in 2014.

Definition of the word HTML

HTML5, which stands for Hypertext Markup Language, is the most popular version of HTML. It is defined as being a markup language allowing the realization of hypertext. HTML is a significantly improved language version. This is the structuring of web pages, the formatting of the contents, the quality of the input, the visibility, and audio as video sound.

Objectives of HTML5

This language has been improved over the years to meet users’ needs, improve formulations, and better structure. The contributions of HTML5 are spectacular. It is critical in the integration of audio, video and also 2D and 3D drawings. HTML5 is, therefore, the most improved language of HTML. Because it tells the browser how to display the web page and its content (text, image, video animation …), this language also presents many advantages. Like any human work is never perfect, it also presents some disadvantages.

Benefits of HTML5

The Hypertext Markup Language plays a critical role in the facilitation and design of websites. We can quote, among other things, the improvement of the semantics of the elements, namely the articles, the sections. It also helps in the facilitation of opening pages on the site. Its ability to support audio and video elements make it easy for users. Besides, we will say that HTML5 is relatively simple because it is learned quickly. However, this language is also relatively limited.

The disadvantages of HTML5

Although HTML5 is a language that facilitates the user, it is dependent on another language, in this case, CSS3. HTML5 cannot parse created forms, send them, or even stoke and display variables because HTML5 does not allow the recording of comments left. It will, therefore, be a question of using another language to interact with a database.

Languages completely HTML5

Other languages complementary to HTML5 are necessary to carry out different projects. Therefore, it can be directly integrated into the page or written on another page and link to the page encoded in HTML5. Among these main languages, we find:

CSS

The CSS, or Cascading Style Sheet, is used for the layout. You have to separate the content coded in HTML5 and the design, which is done in CSS. And end to indicate the font, colour, and background.

JavaScript

JavaScript is mainly used to influence the behaviour of the browser. With this language, we can display an alert window when clicking on a link and put the website in the favourites to print the page.

PHP

PHP is a complete language with many functions. It allows you to link your site and a database. It also allows you to display its content dynamically, to manage variables, to process forms.

SQL

SQL is the language to act on your databases. If PHP links them and your website, you will need to code in SQL to perform actions on them.

Conclusion

HTML5 is much more improved than the previous ones as technology advances. With the use by the developers, some ease of use of html5 will be known. You can learn to write HTML5 code by following this tutorial or contact us to design personalized training.
